The Many Sides of the Psychotic States

I do not believe there is just one truth or one origin behind different states such as psychosis, mania, or schizophrenia. There are countless possibilities for how these states come to be.

One possibility is that during intense experiences, a person’s consciousness leaves the body and begins existing in a higher or lower dimension, depending on where it has been taken or guided. This could be a protection mechanism. Perhaps the soul pulls the conscious mind out of the body, allowing it to enter another space and let go of, or fragment, experiences that are too painful to endure. The connection between consciousness and the body may become disconnected so that the person no longer fully feels what is happening, but instead observes it while taking part in another reality. This could be seen either as a positive form of protection or as a forced separation of consciousness or soul.

Both negative and positive influences may not come only from within a human being. It could also be that other beings are involved. Some may believe there are extraterrestrial forces at play, or beings such as demons that pull a person into states like schizophrenia or depression. Personally, I do not believe higher beings would force a person out of their body, as that would not be in alignment. However, they might bring visions, insights, or experiences that are difficult for an individual to understand or integrate. Both influences could lead someone toward either more positive or more negative states of being, affecting the consciousness and its perception of reality.

Another possible explanation could be astrological events. Just as the Moon influences the tides, perhaps it also influences us. Solar flares, eclipses, and other cosmic events may have even stronger effects. What if they can overwhelm the human psyche, causing it to go into overdrive?

This may also be connected to the increasing amount of technological signals surrounding us. The constant electrical and magnetic frequencies, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other invisible currents might affect us more than we realize. Our highly technological world could be one of many contributing factors. We could see it that in a way the human brain gets fried or even that the waves influence it in such a way, it could be an opening of pathways or a redirection. Or maybe it is even nanotechnology that is influencing those states in such a subtle way.

Of course, there are also the more commonly accepted explanations, such as stress, trauma, and repeated emotional suffering. These alone can lead to such states, especially when they happen over and over again. In that sense, it would not be surprising if the soul chose to distance consciousness from overwhelming experiences as a way of protecting itself.

But what if these states are, in some way, chosen? Or what if they are part of a larger life plan? What if they are not disorders, but an expansion of perception—not bringing disorder, but attempting to bring things back into order?

What if they are part of a natural pattern, a way for the brain and psyche to restore harmony? What if it’s just the process of bringing all past experiences that are not integrated or understood into balance? Aligning the right and left hemisphere of the brain once more into oneness?

What if this is also just a path of becoming a shaman or healer like many believe? What if it is a part of a plan to then later on help to guide others on their way. What if those states are gateways to other dimensions and realities? Seeing people in those states as wise in some ways might be a wise decision even if they do not make sense in the normal way.

Returning to the possible causes, perhaps it is also about the intensity of life when these states occur. Sometimes everything may simply become too much. Life events, travel, sexuality, traumatic experiences, the global situation, and even astrological events could all combine into one overwhelming experience.

I believe many of these states are deeply connected to major global and cosmic shifts. Some people seem more sensitive to these changes or naturally more connected to them than others.

These are just some possible explanations for one complex phenomenon. I can also share my own experience. I was admitted to a psychiatric ward in 2024 and again in 2026. Both times happened around a solar eclipse, and both times I had a planned trip to Athens, Greece. Instead of going on vacation, I ended up in the hospital. It could all be coincidence, but I do not truly believe in coincidences.

If there are no coincidences, then what is so special about Athens for me? Perhaps it is the energy of the place, the ancient stories of the gods, its role in the origins of philosophy and language, or simply its history. There are many possibilities, but something about it feels so intense that, for now, I believe I am not meant to go there—yet.
