Once in this world, there is a being born, raised here on Earth. Once in a while, a being gets lost in the time and space dynamics of this world, and of the worlds above and below. All beings walk across the borders of life and death, spreading into the darkness of the world and the light, getting lost in the in-between.
Those lost in depression are those standing on the verge of life and death, those starting to see the unseen. If they go further down the tunnel, the darkness spreads, reaching into the depths of the individual's hell, which can often manifest as schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia is a dis-ease that is commonly mixed up with the normal thought patterns of someone experiencing a widening of the borders of the human mind. It is said to be a problem, but it can also be seen as a pathway that is not easily crossed. The brain tries to make sense of everything it has learned in the past and of all the information it is taking in, but without grounding, everything can begin to merge together.
In the beginning, it is often mistaken for depression. In these limbic states, going between worlds can feel normal. In the state of limbo, it is hard to get a grasp of reality, but it is not impossible. If schizophrenia is not adjusted to in its early stages, it spreads out, and it becomes harder and harder for the flow to happen. Thoughts become wider, faster, and more difficult to organize.
It needs guidance and letting go—relaxing into it instead of running away from things previously unknown. As it progresses, one loses attachment to the ground and becomes lost in the signs and images of the past. All signs, seen and unseen, become mixed up in the possible realities. The mind loses track of thought, and thought loses track of the mind.
Or, if it is possible to reach outwards and upwards into courage, acceptance, and happiness, it is possible to move further up the ladder of growth into the positive aspects of being.
The illnesses and dis-eases can also manifest into psychotic states, or into bipolarity, which is the going up and down the ladder of life and death, also called heaven and hell.
Those individual ways of the psyche are reached through different methods and different paths. Not all ways are equal, and each path is individual. Nothing can truly be compared to another, as each being comes from a different pathway. Some paths are similar, others are not. The soul and spirit may come from the same or from different families.
Yet once someone goes further and further, they may begin to realize that it is all ONE. The borders between self and other, above and below, life and death, begin to dissolve. The challenge is not simply to cross those borders, but to return with one's feet still on the ground, carrying understanding instead of becoming lost within the endless possibilities.
